James P. Fleming

Jim Fleming is one of only 4 living holders of the Air Force MOH. On the morning of the MOH Convention breakfast, Jim was the first one down and spent a good half hour viewing Captain DeLacy’s MOH and the artifacts Gary Roche had displayed outside the room where breakfast would be served. He seemed very interested and enjoyed hearing Captain DeLacy’s story.

In appreciation for Gary's efforts, not only for keeping alive the story of the Captain, but also the story of the Medal of Honor, he gave Gary his challenge coin. This coin is surely the most rare coin Gary has in that his Air Force challenge coin has the Statue of Liberty on the Medal instead of the Goddess Minerva, who is on the Army MOH and Navy MOH.
